In this class, the student will learn how to create their very own webpage, as well as style it any way they want. They'll learn about the basic structure of a webpage as well as fine details that can improve their experience. The students will also be able to try out their own ideas in this course.

In this introductory class, students will learn to code for Motion, Looks, Sound, Events, Control, Sensing, Operators and Variables with simple projects. This Scratch Basics class will be helpful for other scratch programming based classes

In this three part activity, students use loops, events, and sequencing to bring their own Google logo to life, allowing understanding of computer science and creativity. The second and third parts include designing unique logos for Valentine’s Day and Earth Day.

In this intermediate level activity, students can create animations, interactive artwork, filters for photography, and other art projects through code. The 8 part activity includes an introduction, animation, interactive famous paintings, paint with Tera, an interactive graffiti application, digital pixel art, interactive architecture, and making an online greeting card.

​This activity allows students to create a story and use the first and third point of view. Through computer science and Scratch, this intermediate activity explores narration. Students will be able to use their creativity and understanding of computer science to make characters have a conversation.

This activity for advanced students uses all the basic computer science ideas they have learned so far. In the eight step activity, students create a victory celebration, a commentary for a dance, cheer, karate, or basketball competition, a fun net sport with a ball and an athelete, a commercial for a fitness gadget, a rally game, a derby style baseball game, an extreme sports game where a racer navigates an obstacle course, and a “post-game” interview to talk about what you learned.  

In this introductory activity, students learn basic computer science and Scratch. Students explore dialogue by programming a conversation between two characters with a basic understanding of computer science and Scratch.

In this 8 part activity, you get to bond with your classmates in the LACD class. First you’ll create a project talking about the importance of friendship. Then, you’ll partake in multiple activities to interact with your classmates and to get to know one another using computer science.
